<lj:music>relient k - I So Hate Consequences</lj:music>

Life is awesome lately. My school just got out, my Japanese i s vastly improved, and I have enough money to last me this final week in Japan! Last night was amazing, too. I went to an izakaya with some people from the program and got in on a nomihoudai (all you can drink for 2 hours) which I properly abused There was this gay guy across from me who was hilarious and I beatboxed for him as he freestyled. Of course it was wack, but who the hell cares? It was a lot of fun.

Afterwards, went to a darts bar near my bro's apartment. That was chill, we just hung out and drank gin. Of course, I felt the itch to do something mischievious. We rolled back into the apartment and I watched some TV, but then bro fell asleep. I looked at the time and it was 1:47, so I realized what I had to do. I had to acquire a new piece of art for my future room. I snuck out of the apartment and walked down the road, furtively avoiding people on the street, and eventually I made my way to the train station. There I performed one amazing act of TMG and removed an ad featuring this hot girl (watch the ad, second scene) from the billboard, rolled it up, and brought it back here where it resides. It may not sound like much, but it was so much fun skulking around at night like that. Future TMG deeds involve changing the Acupuncture Pain Clinic's "English Spoken" to "Anguish poke" or "Anguish Spoken." Comment with your choice, as I am undecided.

Mayhem will ensue.

Pink t-shirt, darker pink overshirt, pink courdoroy shorts, even pink earphones! Top of the fashion game, sir! I was so inspired, I wore the pink shirt . to honor his memory. I think he's still OK; after all, some older kids with large muscles got off at the same stop with him and surrounded him, probably forming a protective circle to halt people who would just stare at such a man.

my first club experience evarr! last night was so awesome, I can't wait to go again! forgive the journalistic suckiness of this post, I'm working off a moderate-to-killer hangover right now and my thumb really hurts for some bizarre reason. Anyway, I'm in tokyo now with my brother and yesterday we planned to go to a club that his girlfriend's friends invited us to. we started off the night by eating some cheap pasta, which was pretty good, and then we met up with jolyon's friend matt at shimokitazawa. he provided my bro and I with a couple beers and we drank them while walking back to the apartment (fuck yeah, drinking in crowded public place haha). of course, club drinks are expensive, so we decided to get some alcohol first at a convenience store: a bottle of sake for j and me and some wild turkey for matt and yuka. good times were had with alcohol and euchre as we whiled away a couple hours before we went to the club. it's in shibuya, the location I've forgotten, but it was like a 2 level basement and lots of black. the bottom floor was for dancing and the top floor was a lounge area with a bar. getting in got us a free drink, so we got it and hit the dance section. they were spinning some almost-techno house music and there were that many people dancing, but then again it was only around 11. as the night went on, more and more people started showing up and the club became rather packed. I was just dancing in the middle of the floor, doing whatever the hell I felt like, and it was awesome. eventually, this girl came up to me and asked what my name was, so I told her and then her two friends came over to dance with me. they were obviously trying to flirt with me, but I actually didn't want to leave the dance floor so soon, so I just made a fool of myself and let them leave. it was the right choice, i believe. regardless, I kept dancing and eventually made my way over to where this girl was dancing. she was really hot and I didn't really attempt to dance WITH her, but after about fifteen minutes of dancing by her, she asked if I wanted a drink. the whole time we were dancing, she kept talking to this one guy, so I thought he was her boyfriend but decided to go chill with them anyway. she grabs my hand and leads me upstairs, with her guy friend in tow. once at the bar, they talk with me and buy me a screwdriver, with the girl acting like an interpreter because she spoke english, although I tried to speak in japanese for the most part. she introduced herself as tomi and her friend as yuu, and said that she had lived in los angeles for a year. her english was pretty good, too. anyway, after the drinks she and yuu both tell me that they are not a couple and we head back downstairs to dance. at least, I think that's the order things happened. whatever. so we're on the dance floor and this time she gets a lot closer to me until finally she is grinding on me, which for harris parties at grinnell is like "so what?" but in japan, no stranger ever touches another at the club, unless by accident. so essentially we stuck out about as much as if we were naked or something. I keep looking over at Yuu to see if he's still cool with this, but he always had this grin on his face so I figured what the hell, might as well enjoy this girl. Eventually Tomi and I get tired, so we take a break and go hang out by the lockers. There we just talked for a bit, they asked me what I was doing in japan, the usual chitchat, and then she tried to give me her number, but I didn't have anything to write it down and my keitai has a broken screen, so I didn't carry it with me. Unfortunate. I gave her my keitai number though and she promised to hang out again when I get back from Kusatsu, so we'll see if that pans out. uhhh uhhh uhh i'm sick of writing so I'll just summarize the rest. they offer me drugs, i decline them, they are impressed, tomi says she has to work the next day but i convince her to dance some more. around 4 my brother and matt leave (yuka left awhile ago to go to a different club) and they ask if I have *plans*, to which I reply "act as if I do" and so they left. Tomi stays until about 4:30 and then she takes off, so I stick around another half hour and then leave myself. Walking back drunk doesn't sound appealing, especially since my ankle hurts some, but fortunately the trains had started running again, so I caught that back to the apartment.</cut>
